I am an editor who has extensive experience with academic and non-academic literature. Academic: I have worked as a college professor for 10 years and hold a Masters degree in Cultural Anthropology. Besides for experience in writing within the field of social science, I have worked extensively with students to edit and refine essays for classes in English and the humanities. I am able to provide the "professor's view" in my editing and assist students in clarifying their written work for maximum impact. I have also worked with a number of students on their applications for transfer to Universities and admission to Graduate School. This includes edits and re-writes of admission essays and statements of purpose. Students whose applications I've worked on have gone on to study at Berkeley and UC Riverside. Non-Academic: I have edited both poetry and prose, artistic statements, condensed biographies and grant proposals. I have recently edited two published books of poetry, including "The Poetic Heart" by Dave Russo. I can assist you in creating a literary statement that is cleaner, stronger and more polished.
