I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2013 with a B.A. in English Literature and a focus in Creative Writing. When I was a freshman I read "Travels with Charley in Search of America," a memoir by the late John Steinbeck, and it had a lasting impact on my college career. So after college I spent a year taking a road trip around the United States and wrote extensively about my travels and the characters I met and am now working on a larger work detailing my experiences alongside my philosophy of journeys. I recently returned from the road and am looking for work as a writer, researcher and explorer. I have experience writing travel blogs, extensive research papers, memoir pieces and fiction. My favorite kind of writing is Creative Non-fiction, but I am willing to help with any writing projects you have. Yes, my typewriter is my favorite tool in my writing. I can't delete what you write on a typewriter, so instead of using Microsoft Office, where I can delete whatever I think is "bad writing," I find that the typewriter allows no room for self-consciousness in the writing because what is put down there is permanent. Plus there is a great satisfaction in pounding away on those keys.
