Jacob Krueger Studio is looking to fill several part-time teaching positions in the NYC area. Founded by award winning screenwriter Jacob Krueger, we are dedicated to helping beginning, emerging and professional writers hone their craft, shape their stories and develop their unique voices . We believe that each writer is unique and deserves an organic approach when being mentored through the writing process. Jacob Krueger Studio seeks to provide a safe haven in a competitive industry, nurturing both he art and the careers of our writers, and continually developing new classes, curriculums and departments in order to make this generation of screenwriters, novelists, playwrights and poets the most beautiful, truthful and successful story tellers they can be. AVAILABLE TEACHING POSITIONS: IMPROV FOR WRITERS HOUR LONG TV DRAMA DO IT YOURSELF WEBSERIES BEGINNING & INTERMEDIATE SCREENWRITING THE SHORT FILM Requirements: Jacob Krueger Studio is seeking professional writers who are also amazing teachers. We are not interested in anyone who is looking to teach as a fall back. You must have a passion for teaching. We require all our teachers to also have success in their field. You must currently be, or recently have been, working professionally in the subject you wish to teach. If you have never sold a screenplay, please do not apply to teach screenwriting. If you have never been paid as a writer or showrunner for an hour long drama that made it on air, please do not apply to teach that class. If you want to teach the Webseries class you must have written and produced at least one (preferably more) successful webseries. If you are interested in teaching the Improv class you most have an extensive background/training in both Improv and writing and have been teaching for at least three years at a legitimate institution.
