Hello! If you write fiction and are in need of an editor, I would love to see your manuscript! Alternatively, if you need something written for you, I would love to take a crack at it! Pitch me your story/novel ideas and I'll help bring them to life. I'm 32 years old and I live in Indiana with my three cats. My favorite author is Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Well one of them, anyway. I also love Tolstoy, Anthony Burgess, Philip K. Dick, Tolkien, and way too many more to name. I have been editing in my free time as a supplement to my income for eight years now, and though I don't have any credentials, I do have a lot of experience. I majored in English in college and have many years of creative writing under my belt. I'm also an avid reader and writer. I charge very fair prices and also do payment in installments, usually accepting half up front and the rest upon completion of your manuscript. I specialize in fiction, but will also do non-fiction, though extra charges may apply due to added research. I do developmental, structural, and copy editing. I do a strict line-by-line edit. I also look at big picture problems and propose solutions. I'm much more than a copy editor.What I don't do: edit cover designs or formatting. I deal strictly with the content of the work. I'm mainly looking for authors who need a lot of help for a decent price. I do very detail-oriented work, and I make suggestions where needed. I usually work with each of my authors through every iteration of their book. I love words and arranging them to have a certain meaning, and I also love seeing how others arrange their words in their voice. I love the challenge of keeping a unique narrative voice consistent. I also love to write. I've written two books (neither published), so I have a healthy appreciation for just how tough it can be, and I also understand the need for outside help. Which is partially why I charge about half as much as the more established editors I've come across. I come at this from a perspective of wishing to help the author, as well as help myself.
