My name is Drew, and I have been self-employed as a flooring installation contractor for nearly 30 years. Duties include professional installation of various types of floor coverings on residential, commercial, industrial, & sometimes marine job sites. If you are self-employed, and you own your own business, there are a few hurdles you're going to need to clear in order to finish the race near the front of the pack. You can either hire professionals at the expense of your business, or you can educate yourself in the following: Accounting, advertising, communication, continuing education, business law, project management, human relations, customer service, & most importantly patience. All in all, it has been a long winding road of applied business experience as well as problem solving adventures. Through it all I have noticed the development of an acute sense of attention to details. About 10 years ago, I began noticing that I had begun proofreading everything that I read as I was reading it. My wife has an online magazine, and I began proofreading for her as well. I really enjoy it, & as such would love to start doing more on a part time basis for any of the projects which any of you a undergoing at this time, as well as any in the future.
