Writer in Austin, Texas

My name is Trista Pruitt and I am a skilled writer in many different areas. I graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 2015 with a B.A. in English and a focus in General Writing. During my time at university, I worked at the Writing Center and learned about the pedagogy of writing and sharpened my communication with others in regards to writing. Upon graduation I worked as a Marketing Assistant and Meridian Senior Living where I took what I learned from my Social Media Writing internship and applied it to a healthcare company. After eight months there, I moved to Austin, TX to pursue a deeper career in social media writing and marketing at Main Street Hub. My time at Main Street Hub sharpened my communication skills both as an employee and a writer, left me with a greater passion to help others, and taught me the ability to perform multiple tasks in a a timely manner. Currently, I am the Social Media Manager/Store Manager for The Tasty Spoon, a local gelato and coffee shop. In this role I create content for our brand and ensure our online voice and presence matches the vibrant and modern atmosphere of the shop. As you may be able to tell from my background, I have a lot of experience tailoring voices for specific brands. I can write blog posts, spruce up social media presence, and edit many different styles of writing. My passion is in editing and creative writing, and the creativity can come from a place of fiction of non-fiction. In my free time, I write poetry and am working on a young adult novel.
