I'm an
Individual
I graduated from Michigan State University; majored in criminal justice, then returned to my home county--Alpena, Michigan, to assist in setting up a victims rights unit in the prosecutor's office there. Prior to that, I made solid contacts in the law enforcement community. As news anchor, I researched, wrote and delivered news stories in two Alpena area radio stations. Interviews included an "armed and dangerous" man suspected to have murdered one or two people; and a very personable man whose conversation with me included his confession of a he had committed, in searing detail; a formidable county prosecutor , and for a Michigan state representative, i penned a major press release, announcing charges dropped following investigation, of a local private detective. I enjoyed personal journaling for fun, recall of details, and for the richly rewarding value of looking back at my life. I've enjoyed making the online acquaintance of several people from other countries, securing the historical and personal stories that they share with me. Confidentiality and integrity are of the utmost, and I have never broken a trust or a promise. In the 1980's, I volunteered and experienced the blessing of writing a Sunday sermon for each of my church's new stained glass window, each portraying a blessed beatitude; in concluding that endeavor, I researched and wrote about the most glorious glass window in the church..the window in the back of the church, portraying Christ. This was the largest of the sanctuary's stained glass windows and was all the more glorious and inspirational to behold with the sun shining through it. My love for writing stretches back to 3rd grade, where I tested at a 2nd semester, 12th grade, level. In college writing/English courses, one of my favorites was legal writing, including research and summation of many-source information. There are oft-times when putting pen to paper encourages the appearance of someone that was inside but unknown until the writing began; how was I to know that my friend's experience with a nasty instructor would end with the pig being excused from the pig roast--to be replaced by the teacher's hot, smoky demise when she proxied for the pig!
