My name is Ed Black and I am a retired cop who is seeking an opportunity to write about good people. I possess more than twenty years of progressive experience in the law enforcement field. My professional history includes the positions of Police Officer, Detective, Detective Sergeant, and Police Captain at the Kaufman, Texas Police Department. I have authored a book about my career entitled “Captain Black. True Stories of a Small-Town Cop”. In addition, I have authored social media posts, magazine articles, and blog posts. Two decades of law enforcement ingrained two strong beliefs in me; 1) There are a lot of really bad people in this world, and 2) we can easily forget about all the good people in this world, so we have to focus on them a lot harder. This is why I would love to seek out and write about good people and the things they do for others to make a difference.
