Writer in Manhattan, New York

My name's Glenn English and I've written for all kinds of folks in all kinds of mediums. I've written for soap operas, indie cinema, experimental theater and developed projects for prime time television. I hold a Master's Degree in Dramatic Theory and Criticism from Hunter College in New York City and I've been an adjunct professor of theater for CUNY. I'm familiar with various forms of new media, have lots of experience as an editor in all the major formats such as Final Draft, Power Point, Excel, Word, Lotus Word Pro, Office, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Access. I ran the Muse of Fire Theater Company in New York City for five years, it was dedicated to the development and production of new plays by American writers. I co-created and produced the Sirens Festival, also in NYC, that produced original one act plays by women writers from various countries for three seasons. Also I produced children's musical theater in conjunction with the Starlight Foundation, which grants wishes to chronically and terminally ill children and presented this work in various New York City hospitals. In recent times I helped create a production company called Mystik Films LLC with cooperative partners in LA, Tokyo and Berlin. We have several projects in development for television, a feature length documentary about privatization of water in the Amazon and a recently completed short about sex and violence in American media called "Naked-Spurious".
