Writer in Bellingham, Washington

I am a creative writer out of Bellingham Washington that has a knack for storytelling. My greatest strength as a writer is in character and plot development. Nothing kills a story more than poor plot pacing, or an unbelievable character. The funny thing is, you would be surprised how many stories get told with not just one, but both of these vices as a part of the story. I can show you terrible books, bad screenplays, movies that were supposed to be great but weren't, and I guarantee either character development or plot pacing was ONE of the problems. A little on my background, I have been entranced with stories since I was very little. Reality, to my adolescent mind, was relative to the book I was in, or show I watched. I never stopped trying to escape this reality for another one, which led to a lot of binge-reading and binge-watching. As I grew older, I began to realize that I can create my own reality with nothing more than a pencil and some paper. My writing career after high school, however, never took off the way I had dreamed. My dad didn't like hearing that I'll make a million dollars on my next manuscript or screenplay, so he shipped me off to become an Air Traffic Controller for the US Air Force. But I never lost my love of writing. Now, I am recently separated and attending Western Washington University as an English major.
