I’ve been writing poetry for 14 years and only got better over that period of time. I’m self-taught, learned how to do manuscripts, prose, verse and free verse. My writing style is personal as I write in the first person telling my life story without directly telling it. I use metaphors, symbolism, representations, themes, analogies, story telling, philosophy and spirituality (anything I may possibly use or utilize). My themes spans from vampires, werewolves, phoenix, knights, samurai, gladiators, Ancient Rome, crusades, the bible or rather, angels and demons, barbarians, Vikings, Greek mythology, Viking folk lore and warfare (again, anything I may use or utilize). I also like to have messages of morality and/or principles, just any message that seems good to me. I’ve became passionate about poetry as a result of my life growing up. It all started when I was 15, a time that nearly ended my life as is very difficult for a teen to deal with. In a way, poetry saved my life. I didn’t have friends to talk to, so poetry became my means of release. It’s extremely therapeutic and cathartic. I simply hope my writing may help people going through emotional and mental issues in their lives. I’m an open minded individual willing to write about anything though of course, I do have my preferences and person favorite topics, but I’m open to anything if it gives me more understanding to a new area.
