I'm an
Individual
I am seeking a position as a Magazine Contributor/Freelance Writer. The coalescence of writing, detail-oriented work, having knowledge about health, fitness, social media, and relationships, and meeting deadlines under pressure matches well with my professional background and acquired skills through my professional, athletic, and academic involvements: As a communications/media and marketing intern at WDCW-TV, I worked directly with the Emmy-award winning producers of Tribune Broadcasting Media as well as the trafficking and communications managers to code and organize daily TV schedules and commercials. I also published information and articles on their social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, and their DC50 website. Additionally, I worked events such as “Taste of DC” and “On the Hill” to promote the network DC50: The CW in Washington and its upcoming shows. There, I generated new ideas and demonstrated my ability to persuade others, be creative, and prioritize on the job. Through my experience at Bunnell & Woulfe P.A., I sharpened my analytic skills by researching and interpreting cases, and I established my organizational skills through timely and accurate case reports and logging. I also helped Jack Campbell schedule his appointments, meetings, and other events, as well as planning any special projects. Furthermore, as a University Representative for the Cornell Annual Fund, I sharpened my interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills as I connected with alumni over the phone and raised money for the university. I exhibited ease with detail- oriented tasks of coding calls, updating personal information, securing credit card information, and writing emails. I learned how to effectively problem-solve on the spot. Furthermore, being a Division I student-athlete at Cornell University has helped me effectively multi-task, perform under pressure, and maintain a tenacious mindset. Being a tennis player taught me a lot about health and fitness, as well as how to work well with others on a team. Lastly, being a self-published author of, “The Ultimate Teen Guide to a Healthy Life” is a result of my writing and researching expertise, go-getter attitude, and creativity. As a result of my book, I am knowledgable about health, regarding everything from what to eat, how much sleep to get, and how much/how to exercise, healthy relationships, etc.
