Writer in Orlando, Florida

Greetings and thank you for taking the time to view my listing. I'm Joanna Zaczek. I am currently in my late twenties and reside in central Florida. My interest and passion in writing began in high school with the discovery of Douglas Adams' 'Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy'. While my skills can cover a wide variety and I'm open to most new opportunities, this has led science fiction and fantasy writing to be particularly close to my heart. Other readers have compared my style and subject matter, in some respects, to those of Neil Gaiman and Ray Bradbury. As for my education, I attended Hood College where I participated in several courses in Creative Writing as well as in Drama/Theatre, the latter which I have found useful and inspiring for creating compelling fiction. I heavily follow the school of thought laid out in Truby's 'Anatomy of Story' which focuses primarily on story as a catalyst of change. In addition to fiction, I am available to work with nonfiction and business assignments.
