Writer in Oakland, California

Hi! My name is Tshego Letsoalo (everyone calls me Tee), and I'm the writer you're looking for! I was born and raised in South Africa and have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2015. I'm currently working as an online content coordinator and I'm mainly looking for interesting and engaging short and long writing assignments to keep my happy and entertained on the side. My strengths definitely lie in interviewing people and telling their stories (as I'm endlessly fascinated by the human condition), and I enjoy the type of research required to write interesting and informative profile and feature pieces. I have previous experience working at an online magazine based out of Cape Town, South Africa, and the main highlight was getting to have different travel and food experiences to write about. I'd like to think that my writing contains the kind of description and imagery that will entice and inspire the reader to want to experience the same. Music is my first and favorite topic to write about, and I often do so casually on wordpress..... and my personal Instagram account. I think it fits in with my overall drive to produce work that shows people that we have more in common than not, and that it's important to share the things that make us happy. Other topics I'm a fan of writing about include travel, personal profiles, pop culture, social commentary, and the arts. That is not to say I am not open to others as I like the idea of my mind being opened to something new after researching and writing about it.
