The best way I can explain myself is to reference a scene in Good Will Hunting. Like Beethoven or Mozart when they saw a piano, when it comes to writing for me, I could always just play. I've been writing since I was young, and over the years have picked up many niches in regards to grammar, structure, and the sheer quality of my writing. Here and there, I pick up something new. My college English course added something to my development, as well as the experience I've had writing scripts for the Script Pipeline contest back in 2013 (Which can be provided). Scriptshadow..... authored by Carson Reeves has also been a tool I've used to learn how to refine my work. Role models in the writing world whose work I'd like to emulate would be Joss Whedon, Aaron Sorkin, Julia Glass, Scott Snyder, and Ned Beauman. I'm am 25 now, and writing has always just been engrained within my instincts since I started. Unfortunately, surviving and paying rent has been my main focus which has kept me far from the field so the most I can dish out are personal side projects. Also, to get a writing position almost anywhere, you need published work which, to be as frank as possible, I find to be pretty f'd up considering how hard it is to even get a look in the first place. That is the point of this. I'm just looking for a shot. My skills excel when I write in a novel format and, while I find it limiting, I know the format for film scripts as well.
