One of the top recipe websites in Europe EatSmarter..... is seeking an experienced Recipe Editor to copy proof 30,000 recipes for the US market. The recipes will be supplied in English with metric conversion to the US equivalent. Requirements: Edit EatSmarter recipes to ensure they are approachable and successful (e.g., steps in recipes should be logical and short; all ingredients should be listed in the order they are used; techniques should be consistent regardless of the recipe developer). Assist in determining the total length for the Recipes section. Write headnotes for recipes and photo captions as needed. Ensure that such material is accurate. Ensure that recipe diction and style and ingredient terminology is consistent. Develop and maintain recipes style. Proof all page proofs with recipes  Edit supplemental recipes to appear on Website. Review and rewrite recipe names/headlines for the US market. Meet all deadlines as assigned by Assistant   Managing Editor. This is an ongoing freelance position. Work from home with a few meetings in Santa Monica and/or Malibu. Please provide your hourly rate and how many recipes can be completed per hour.
