Writer in Kent, Ohio

My name is Lauren Olesh and I have always had a passion for writing since I was a child. I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors in English, because I have always believed that reading helps to make better writers. I minored in Creative Writing and was able to become an intern at the Wick Poetry Center, where I worked to teach students at the Juvenile Detention Center in Akron how to write poetry. Since I have graduated I've had a number of jobs, all the while continuing to write. I have found that I am a fast and efficient writer, and that the skills are an asset at any job. I also do some freelance editing work and I know I am very detail oriented. My favorite topics to write about include political stories including civil rights, as well human interest stories. I am also very interested in creative writing, and have been working on my own novel for some time.
