Clockwork Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer to join an agile team responsible for building a new predictive analytics platform for Enterprise Asset Management. This is an exceptional opportunity to be a part of the core team responsible for launching this platform while working with the best and brightest in Austin who have a track record of successfully delivering software to the top companies in over 100 countries. In this role you will gain exposure to multiple software applications while authoring reference pages, overviews, tutorials, samples, and other support material that conveys how to use the applications and APIs. As a Technical Writer, you will provide content during agile sprints by collaborating with engineering, product management, technical support, and quality assurance team members. Responsibilities • Provide leadership over technical publication deliverables and initiatives • Evaluate publication and content management technologies • Define the documentation process from software requirements to deployment of content • Develop content compliant with published or industry standard style guides • Author content for external customers and internal audiences using a process of peer review • Understand business and technical and of your audiences • Create and edit user help documentation hosted by WordPress • Document reference materials for APIs in several programming languages such as Java, JavaScript and Python. • Assist in automation of API document creation • Drive continuous improvement of our documentation strategy Requirements • 3 years of experience as technical writer • Ability to face and collaborate with internal subject-matter experts and external customers • Demonstrated ability to learn new software products and authoring tools is a must • Effective time management and communication skills • Ability to organize work with minimal supervision and meet project deadlines • Familiarity with DITA, Markdown, REST API architecture, Git, SQL databases, Big Data concepts and WordPress preferred • Bachelor degree from accredited university or comparable experience   About Clockwork Clockwork is a global leader of predictive analytics software for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions that improve availability and reduce maintenance costs of capital intensive assets.
