The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is requesting proposals for a medical writer to provide scientific content and grammar editing services for scientific abstracts which will be included in the AACAP 2015 Annual Meeting Scientific Proceedings. The medical writer will access the Conference Exchange (Confex) an online abstract submission system via the internet. The medical writer will edit individual abstracts (approximately 900 which are an average of 200 words each), following AACAP formatting guidelines which will be provided prior to the start of the project. The medical writer is expected to edit abstracts for readability, consistency, and completeness. During the edit process the medical writer will have full access to the author’s full submission information, which includes a presentation summary, references, and background information on the presentation). Additionally, AACAP Staff and a physician are available for guidance and to answer questions pertaining to abstract content. The medical writer must be available throughout the duration of the edit process (March 26, 2015 – October 15, 2015) and have dependable access to a computer and internet for the duration of the project.
