Independent Editor: Novels, Textbooks, Fine Art/Photography Books Hey there, I'm an experienced editor, writer, and journalist with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Pepperdine University, earned 2013. During my studies, I wrote and published around 75 articles amidst co-founding online arts magazine Undertow Magazine. I currently work as a photojournalist and documentary director of photography, while taking work as an independent editor. Allow me to help clean up the grammar of your novel, textbook, or fine art/photography book. My rates: Proofreading: $15/hr. or $3/pg., if less than one hour's work Proofreading involves doing a final run-through to catch surface problems with content. This does not include re-working text, or re-arranging content. Copy Editing: $20-$30/hr. or $4-$6/pg., if less than one hour's work Copy editing involves improving accuracy, formatting, and style. It's about making sure that there aren't inconsistencies and that the style flows well -- in addition to being grammatically correct. Needs range from light to heavy copy editing requirements, and thus I provide my range of charge. Content Editing: $35-45/hr. or $7.50-$9.50/pg., if less than one hour's work Content editing involves the need to add things that were left out, or re-write sections of content. This can include making corrections, along with some level of content creation. Again, needs range from light to heavy content editing requirements, and thus I provide my range of charge. If you don't fall into the previously mentioned genres, I am also available to edit poetry collections, short stories, (auto)biographies; lecture notes, handouts, pamphlets; website content, brochures and travel guides.
