The same old resumes are a dime a dozen OPPORTUNITY: SoccerNation Content Writer WHO WE ARE: SoccerNation is a soccer specific vertical news website focused on covering the competitive youth game and the various pathways to the professional game. We also cover the latest trends in coaching tactics, newly released soccer equipment and apparel, as well as anything and everything to do with the continued growth of the game in this country. JOB DESCRIPTION: soccerloco is seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join the SoccerNation team as freelance Content Writers. New writers will join a team that is knowledgeable, informed, and voracious in its interest in the game of soccer. Writers will be expected to report to our offices occasionally or communicate via web conference if unavailable to physically meet. You will be responsible for taking a series of content topics and researching, writing, and assembling completed content pieces. The writer needs to be able to take a general topic and write a 300-500 (generally) word content piece, suitable of being used in blog, social media, and content distribution. You will be provided with content guidance, including but not limited to title, topic, theme, overall points, and concrete examples for each content piece. The writer will be expected to take the content guidance and write high quality content pieces from this. For each article, the writer will need to: - understand and disseminate the direction and scope of the article - amass the research and content that has already been created that is to be used - research and discover supporting content to use - write the necessary 300-500 words, ensuring that the goal of the content piece is clearly presented, while matching the company's unique written voice and brand - proof and present a finished, publish ready content piece This is a great opportunity to join an established company in the rapidly growing soccer world.
