Qualified candidates should possess excellent writing and computer skills. The candidate must be highly organized, previous experience and will demonstrate a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities for a unique youth program. The primary responsibilities include preparation of grant proposal, editing, and submission of grant application, followup with grant application, administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of Arts and Cultural Programs, Commercial Household Products, Beauty Cosmetics, Youth/Children, Community Development, Health, Education, Public Affairs, Recreation/Sports, Technology, Employment/Jobs, Energy and so on. The candidate acts as a liaison with program staff, as needed until goal is accomplished. The candidate must be able to work under tight deadlines, work independently, as well as, collaborate with the staff team concerning the grant(s) projects in its entirety via phone conferences on a weekly bases.The qualified candidates selected will work in the capacity, as an independent contractor, but will receive 10% to 15% of grant funds depending on candidate's work experience with a proven track record of securing funding for a special youth program on an annual bases. The candidate will continue to receive their future independent contractor fee compensation year after year, as long as the grant entity continues to work in collaboration with the youth program in a grant funding capacity.
