The Proposal Writer /Team Lead position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of proposal development—ensuring accuracy and integrity of all proposal documentation, coordinating internal flow, rebate fulfillment and review of all proposal inputs, and directing final production of the proposal. The Proposal Writer /Team Lead creates, maintains, revises and responds to energy related, high-quality proposal documents as assigned for internal and external use (i.e., Company Sales Development, RFP, RFQ.). This position works closely with sales manager(s), Licensee’s, and future proposal writer(s), subject matter expert(s) and business development manager(s). The Proposal Writer/ Team Lead will develop a team and assign new requests to the appropriate proposal writer- team member, prepare proposal work plans, develop compliance matrices, forward information to engineering, and gather support documents that are required for the final document submission (i.e., signatures, rebate processes, engineering verifications, insurance requirements, etc.). In addition, this position is responsible for establishing consistency and providing administrative support during the proposal development process. The Proposal Writer /Team Lead will proofread all final proposals prior to submission to ensure all proposal requirements are met. The Proposal Writer /Team Lead is also responsible for ensuring the energy technology database content remains current, training other proposal team members on new products, internal processes, etc. and assists with the training of Sales personnel on the Capture & Proposal Process. This position must be able to organize material, support design, write and edit proposal documents, client communications and work effectively under pressure in a team-oriented environment. Essentially, the Proposal Writer /Team Lead is responsible for producing clear, cohesive, well-organized proposals that are focused and responsive to customer-defined requirements and is considered the “go-to” person for other members of the proposal team.
