SportJunkies101....., a sports news/commentary start-up, seeks freelance writers, sports bloggers and sports enthusiasts to help build our site! If you love sports, this is a great opportunity to establish yourself as a sports writer with a company that has a strategic plan for growth and revenue generation. In addition to featured columnists, we also have other opportunities for writers and editors who can: * Write game recap summaries * Perform light copy editing and headline writing * Assist in basic photo production * Research online materials for supporting in-story link packages. Selected candidates must have demonstrated writing skills. Preference will be extended to students enrolled in an accredited journalism schools, and those with a basic knowledge of Photoshop/GIMP and the Associated Press Style Manual. Currently, these are unpaid positions, but may become paid in the future if the site takes off. Candidates must be able to work remotely, ideally during the hours of 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. during the week and on weekends. We are extremely flexible, and will work within your schedule.
