A staff writer at ETVN is a jack of all trades; although the core of this position is the development of our numerous series and the scripting of footage, writers will also be required to communicate with the Production and Post departments, conduct interviews, and take on occasional odd jobs, such as supplying voiceover for rough cuts, creating and tweaking synopses, and compiling sizzle reels. Because ETVN has many series in different stages of development, candidates will be efficient, reliable, and able to multitask. A background in writing is an asset, but not necessary. However, an understanding of the principles of screenwriting, such as three-act structure, is a must. The work-environment is fast-paced and always growing, so candidates must be able to adapt to new assignments and tight deadlines.
