We are reshaping the Thesaurus! Urban Dictionary has successfully reshaped the dictionary. We are giving the thesaurus a much needed remix. Have you ever picked up a dictionary and thought, “Who the writes this boring ?” We are building a community thesaurus for irreverent writers to creatively express themselves. This isn't just a website that you write for, it's a community that you write with. Join our community of word nerds to develop this outlandish thesaurus for writers to creatively express themselves. Shesaurus.....: is a gender-based reference site providing alternatives to idioms not found in your typical dictionary or thesaurus. Think Urban Dictionary, but a niche Thesaurus. We take in all the dirty, vulgar and derogatory terms dictionaries leave out and provide a warm, loving categorical home. Our database isn’t just slang, our research extends beyond British, Jamaican, Military, LGBT, etc. We look for words that specifically apply to men and women. We do not discriminate against any word regardless of its tone. What we are looking for: 1.WORD NERDS! Contributing writers with a passion for learning, researching and writing definitions to unique terms. Definitions should be honest and a little humor goes a long way. SOCIAL MEDIA MAVENS! We also ask that you post some of your favorite Shesaurus/ Hesaurus words via social media outlets (Instagram, Twitter, FB, Pinterest, etc.) as a “Word of the day” or “Hesaurus suggests: Blaggard” daily. 3.) BLOGGERS! Submit blogs with comedic or controversial headlines relating to gender or women’s studies. Challenge yourself, interview a Transgender or Drag Queen. Contributors must be open-minded and certainly not easily offended! We are based in Los Angeles, but this is a viral position so you can work from home, Starbucks or a clean tea room.
