I'm an
Individual
I'm a published book co-author. A screenwriter with 4 current pieces about to move into locked drafts and then into the hands of management/producer deciders. (I'm an alum of a nationally renowned screenwriting development program.) I have eclectic interests. Here is a partial list: Cinema, movies, cinemaphilia. Movie production processes, people and technology. Politics and current events. Military history and inflection points of world history. Astronomy. Sports, especially baseball. Music and the soundtracks to our lives. And much more. First-class researcher! And an editor! And a production manager / producer / production company too! www.....com Surely, with those stated interests--which I can prove capable of discussing and writing about--you might have a gig, project or partnership that needs my nurturing mind and fingers. I bring a l-o-t of discipline, research talent, and word-craft passion to the party. Let's go! Books, Articles, Creative Writing, 1990-201... – Several completed feature screenplays in diverse genres • 2010–201... - An alumnus--Basic Training, Think Tank, and Peer Group--of Writers Boot Camp, an L.A.-based script writing and professional development program. I conceived projects across multiple genres, from exacting outlines to complete and available drafts. • 2002–Tête à Tet by Judy Stark. Memoir of a wife and her husband, a renowned doctor of reconstructive surgery. Their January 1968 honeymoon coincided with his annual work/teach sabbatical in Vietnam. They arrive in Saigon on the Asian New Year: the eve of the infamous Tet Offensive. Largely editorial. • 1998-200...-A Garden of Thorns: My Memoir of Surviving World War II in France, by Roger de Anfrasio and Mark D. McKennon. Being the true misadventures of a wayward son of Italian immigrants in Dijon who recruits himself as an apprentice junior Resistance agent and comes of age during the occupation. (Silk City Press, 2000) ... - Guardian's Angel, co-authored with Albert Ohayon. A historical novel set in embattled 1930 Morocco. A French Foreign Legion officer, marooned in the High Atlas Mountains among enemy Berber tribes, is bent on revenge against the nemesis colonel who condemned him. • 2000-200... - Articles in production industry guide Variety NY 411 on city-wide film/TV shooting sites. • 1998-Contributor to Location Update, a location scouting and management periodical. • 1992-00-CyberFlicks: Computers and Robots in the Movies, a critical and historical view of artificially intelligent protagonists, heroes, villains and plot devices through 100 movies since 1907. Story analyses, technology assessments, production anecdotes and fantasy deconstruction complement key capsule real-world computer, robot and software histories concurrent with the release years of many cyber-cinema titles. • 1991-92 ... reviews in The Motion Picture Guide: 1992 Annual (Perigee Books, Baseline II: New York) • 1990-Essays on directors Lindsay Anderson, Bill Forsyth, David Lynch and Sam Peckinpah in The Encyclopedia of Film (James Monaco and the Editors of Baseline, New York, 1991).
