An avid imagineer, I’ve been passionately sharing stories however I could. Most of my earlier work was live in front of an audience until I woke up from surgery only to discover that my voice had been sacrificed to the gods of fighting Cancer. My right vocal chord was paralyzed, so it was back to the drawing board. When I couldn’t find the words to convey all that was going on inside of me, I retreated to the safety of my inner imaginings. What started out as a couple sketches from my hospital bed, became a mixed media hero’s journey that eventually brought my happy ending into being: I’ve just had my second surgery to help restore the sound I’d thought was lost. But enough about me and my story, let’s get to the good stuff: that’d be you. Now don’t you go looking behind you— it’s you I’m talking to. If you have a story to tell... something that the rest of us need to experience for ourselves: I’m your gal. My undergrad in theatre and english has given a diverse, well rounded appreciation for all the way we human’s find to tell our bit of story. In the 20 years, I’ve worked with countless screenwriters, poets , creative non-fiction and kidlit writing circles help them hone their craft and give them a better understanding of how their journey will appear to fresh set of eyes. I don’t know about you, but most of my writers I know— myself included — get so caught up in the process of writing it all down that we forget the forest has trees. For writers— of any level— I offer: 1. CREATIVE/PROJECT DEVELOPMENT >> Working as a team— creative co-conspirators is what I like to call it— Here’s where we start planting substantial seeds for our foundation. Beginning with a concept/theme/idea, we’ll venture off into a variety of creative spaces that you may never have even considered. Offering fresh perspectives on something you’re considering will help us build a broader creative landscape will give us plenty of jumping off points that we can work from. 2. CREATIVE FEEDBACK >> This is the part of the editing process that I like best… My job here is to help fine tune the flow of thought, massaging sentence structure so that the reader doesn’t get lost along the way. I also have a knack for picking up on repeated sounds (assonance) and similarities in sentence structure. (You can blame that on my actor’s habit of reading allowed.). I’ll include a copy of my reading notes and any additional things that came up for me will reviewing your material. 3. I WRITE COPY >> If you need content for WEB-SITES, e-marketing, social media, and a variety of other formats: I’m at your service. There is so much stuff out there already on the market, so one of my goals is to help you leave a lasting impression.
