Writer in Denton, Texas

I am a University of North Texas graduate that is looking for consistent employment, so that I can afford to go back to school and attain a Master's degree. I've been a comedy writer and performer, for 7 years. I have never been published, but I have taken freelance work proofreading lab reports, and editing a dissertation. I have also proofread and edited plays and screenplays, and have written several essays that vary from topic to topic. I've been invited to showcase my work, write and assist in writing comedy routines, and lecture for the UNT Department of Communications, in their Performance Studies program. In 2012, I was sponsored by UNT faculty for consideration for the UNT Writing Award, in 2014, I was invited to perform in the Oaktopia Comedy Festival, and in 2016, I was selected to perform in the inagural Denton Comedy Festival, and three of my performance pieces were selected to be part of the Sundown Theatre Collaborative's Short Works Festival. I use public transportation to get around town, and am open to taking the train to go outside of Denton, for work.
