Writer in Marshfield (Town), Wisconsin

I've been asked "what do you want to be when you grow up?" since I was a little girl, and through the years that answer has changed. In elementary school I wanted to be a veterinarian. When I started high school I was determined to become a dermatologist. Unfortunately for me, my fear of blood stopped that quickly. I finally decided to go into the education field. After an exciting and anxiety filled first year I made the decision to not only switch majors, but completely change universities. I completed my bachelor's of science degree in Communications with the emphasis in Media Studies on May 20th, 2017. The four years the I spend studying journalism was incredible and taught me not only how to properly write a journalistic piece (for print, web, and television), but helped me figure out my passion. But at the end of my four years I was asked the great questions again. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" This time it was me asking. And honestly I had no idea. I spent some time right out of college working in radio. Now I'm working as a recruiter for a transportation company. Every day is a new adventure and I enjoy learning new skills. But I still ask my self the same question everyday. I want to use the skills I learned in college and the work force to become a writer that will put the public first. A writer that will report hones and timely articles, but who can also entertain their readers.
