I have more than 20 years of professional writing experience in journalism, marketing, blogging, and public relations. In addition, I am a traditionally published author, and I have been recognized for editorial excellence by the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society. I earned my bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina and my master’s degree in creative writing from East Carolina University. While I have worked on a wide range of projects, my specialties are blogging, content development and copywriting. I have a heart for helping others develop/edit their first novels or books, and I enjoy writing for magazines and creating press releases. For 15 years, I worked with a regional health care system developing public relations materials and supervising the writing and editorial direction of a health magazine that was distributed throughout the area. I have worked for weekly, tri-weekly and daily newspapers. I have particular interest in medical writing and have written blogs for internal medicine and ENT practices.
