I create content for the purpose of: Lead generation, for the sale of a product or service. Any product or service. Content can be miraculously flexible in its intentions and goals. Industry news that may have slower cycles, or that may change on a dime. Traffic generation through this type of creation is underrated by many marketers. Breaking news can be found anywhere. How immersed are you in your own industry? Educating readers on any area of interest or topic that my lead to future consultation or sales. Being a thought leader in your industry space builds both trust and loyalty with your reader, and soon to be customer base. Sell by teaching. Community engagement through reading. Many content creators do not realize how powerful their creations actual are. Give your readers instructions on how to further engage with your product or brand. Are your readers subscribing to your newsletter? Why not? Technical explanation through well planned content creations. These take time to develop but is extremely valuable to clients you already have that need guidance, or new customers that need convincing of your product or service’s aptitudes. I usually immerse myself heavily for this type of content. When is the last time your organization published a white paper? Content road-mapping keeps the entire team in the know. When your writers and creators are following a predefined roadmap, they will not be scrambling to figure out which content will do well, or what to do next. This wastes time. With a roadmap, they will simply be producing more fodder for the cannon, all of the time. Plans = executions.
