I am an experienced developmental/content writer, acquisitions editor, curriculum developer, illustrator, and independent travel contributor. With twenty-five years of combined teaching and educational publishing experience, and spiritual writing. I’ve worked as a senior editor and project manager for Houghton Mifflin, Pearson Education, McGraw-Hill, Riverside Publishing, and several other development houses and publishers across the country. My work appears in texts, ancillary materials, test materials, books, guides, manuals, and other educational curriculum. I'm also the author of the Ancient Tales™ series, which is a collection of children's cultural tales. I have also been active in the literary community as an advocate and writing facilitator. My work with Headstart and Homeschooling was one of the early after-school literacy programs in the country. I have worked as an ELL instructor, ELA TA, Laubach Literacy instructor, and have taught in both private and public schools throughout the country. I was the editor of Schoolwisepress in San Francisco, and have worked for CK-12 in Silicon Valley. I have also been a contributing writer to literary journals, anthologies, and publications in the Bay Area and nationally. As an independent travel writer, I have been given the opportunity to experience other cultures in a more personally engaging way that enriches the work that I do. I've written for Conde Nast Traveler, Transitions Abroad, Budget Travel, Boots 'N All, as well as other independent and mainstream publications. My travel articles have been published in periodicals and magazines across the country. I was also a reporter for the MV Times, Martha's Vineyard Magazine, Bermuda Magazine, and several other city-based magazines and specialized niche publications. I look forward to working with you!
