Writer in Honolulu, Hawaii

I am currently a senior at the College of Charleston in South Carolina where I am pursuing a major in English and a minor in French. I also spent this past semester abroad in Florence, Italy where I had the opportunity to study travel writing. During my time abroad, I navigated the foreign land solely with my #2 Ticonderoga and Moleskin, in which I took note of all of the special places that I would keep stashed away until my next visit. Whenever I travel, I take with me a hunger for adventure, a desire for discovery, and my creative eye in order to give names to nameless places and find beauty in the obscure. I have experience being an administrator and contributor for an online signature series, I have my own website where I published a travel writing story I crafted in Florence, and I have had a photograph reposted by the company Vans. My drive to succeed, my ability to remain calm and productive in stressful, fast paced environments, my hunger for adventure, and my ability to capture moments not only through words but through photographs, are all attributes that I believe make me a worthy candidate for any job pertaining to this field. I am looking for a position preferably in Hawaii that will allow me to apply both my creative writing and photography skills in an enthusiastic environment.
