Writer in Houston, Texas

I am a former newspaper journalist with more than six years in the business seeking gainful employment. I am experienced in running a newsroom, editing/proofing/writing copy, editing press releases, editing website content and promoting said content through social media, analyzing web metrics, driving traffic, writing editorials and page layout. I am aiming for a job/career in the same field, and am open to transitioning into public relations, media relations, copywriting and editing. I have a B.A. and M.A. in journalism, and with those degrees a number of skills waiting to be put to good use for the betterment of a company.
