I am the best kept secret in rap music. Writing and music are my passions. Here's a bio: Joe Blacc was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. He recently finished recording his first studio album, Beautiful Chaos. His music is a revitalizing blend of lyrical hip hop, heartfelt R&B and soulful production. Joe Blacc is currently promoting his latest project, scheduling performances, and continuously writing and recording. Blacc's earliest influences range from Lauryn Hill, to Pharrell Williams, and Kanye (before he went crazy) West. At Horace Mann Jr High, Joe Blacc honed his rap skills with the school band. During daily practices, he would freestyle a new verse each day. During this time, his teacher told him "Aye, you should probably write that down." That was the first time Blacc wrote his own verses to a beat. The beginning of his love for rap music abounded with freestyling and rap battles all throughout high school. In 2006, Joe Blacc met fellow rapper Jaay Eezy who inspired him to take rap seriously. From this point on, he focused on creating complete songs instead of only "bars" and that led to a series of mixtapes. ( V12, V12 Pt. 2, E.N.D., Rapping for Dummies(Jaay Eezy's debut), F$88 Vol 1 & 2). Joe Blacc's first cohesive released project was Memory Lane. This project was critically acclaimed despite not having professional recording necessities such as a microphone. He went on to recreationally record 2 more projects, The Soul Died and The Midnight Hour which are all available on his Bandcamp. Beautiful Chaos is an expansion from the previous projects. The delivery is more experimental and the cadences are sharper creating an aggressive soundscape with production to match. Joe Blacc's lyrics, speed, delivery, story telling and hidden metaphors set him apart from other musicians.
