Hi, My name is Ellie and I work with others in teaching English and Writing to strengthen their writing skills. I obtained my BA in English at the University of IL at Chicago in 2009. While attending UIC, I was on the Dean's List and was also accepted into the Honor's College. I also spent a year in the English Education program, where I learned how to become an English teacher for high school students. While in the program, I developed my own lesson plan on The Great Gatsby, created a month-long project with several students at an inner-city high school and shadowed a teacher at a high school in Lakeview for a semester in the Special Education department. I work with children, adolescents and adults. Students in college and high school would benefit greatly from my English knowledge and background because I have much experience with composition, writing essays, research papers, poetry and creative stories. I am also very familiar with the APA and MLA formats for research papers and essays. I also have much experience in homework tutoring and study & test preparation.
