To Whom it May Concern, I first met David during the first film I had ever acted in. I did not know he had an actual role in the film, at the time, because he was our fight and fight co-ordinater. When I finally saw the finished product of the film, I was shocked to actually see him as the character he beat me out of a role for. Not only was David a talented fight co-ordinator, he wasn't too bad of an after, as well. David and I kept in contact over the next decade and in it, I was privileged to be an observer to his talents. David won a screenplay competition for his script, "Raising Izzie", which was turned into a feature film and shown on various outlets (The film was fantastic!) DNR was another project of his in which his acting truly shined through. He was brilliant in the role, but his true talent seemed to involve his writing and production abilities. During the last Presidential run, I was so stressed, I wrote a screenplay with my fiance. Needless to say, we are both amateurs, so we probably did what every novice screenwriter does, before educating themselves: We wrote in Microsoft word. Luckily, I was surrounded by a few talented screenwriters, including David, who gave me a swift kick in the butt for doing what I did. My fiance and I reached out to David for help and initially, he wouldn't even read the first page of the screenplay, due to the incorrect format. David was blatantly honest and succinct. We needed help, David offered to do so (for a reasonable fee), and he not only formatted the screenplay, he added some much needed movement, twists and turns, and trimmed a lot of fat and greenness, from our screenplay. Not only were we impressed, but we asked people to read both before and after screenplays and the general response was that David's revisions, elevated our story.
