Writer in New York, New York

I'm a writer and a psychiatrist. I have published eight short stories (Agni, Exquisite Corpse, The Kit-Kat Review, others) and my first novel, Victor Rand, will be published next month. I have written many books on health care (Psychiatry for Beginners, Quitting Smoking for Dummies, Textbook of Clinical Addiction Psychiatry) as well as numerous articles, chapters, and newspaper/magazine columns. My areas of expertise include editing, ghost writing, and feature writing on artists, musicians and their work. I have also written and been awarded many grants for research and for artists. Studied under John Barth, Donald Barthelme, and Gordon Lish. Deep knowledge of contemporary fiction and art.
