Writer in Boulder, Colorado

My name is Emily Kinzel, and I am looking to apply for writing positions at local magazines. Right now, I am attending University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with an English Critical Studies Major and a Dance Minor and am expected to graduate in the spring of 2018. I am moving to the Boulder, CO area in July of 2018. I am currently working for Volume One Magazine, a biweekly magazine, which I have contributed anywhere from two to ten articles ranging in length from 200-800 words per issue. I love incorporating my creative, spunky voice with cultural scene of a community including its town happenings, theater, dance, and music programs, and events. I’d really appreciate the opportunity to speak to someone about this position, as I feel I am fresh and qualified to be a part of a magazine team. I have worked at Volume One Magazine for about a year, and have learned a great deal. -Create a strong, engaging voice for the readers -Doubled number of articles featured in Volume One -Great conversationalist for contacting those involved in an article, and scheduling and conducting interviews My experience within Volume One has prepared me for professional writing careers, and I hope I will learn just as much, if not more, from future positions.
