I'm Lindsey Beth Meyers, a writer/researcher based in NYC. I received my BFA in Dramatic Arts and Screenwriting from The New School College of Performing Arts School of Drama. I specialize in dark comedies and historical fictions, and have a particularly strong interest in stories about large families and the effects of war. I can write at any length and in any format: screenplays, novellas, stage-plays, short stories, articles - whatever story you are telling, I have the skills, tenacity, and research abilities to tell it clearly and uniquely. The symbol of drama is the comedy-tragedy mask: one side is a face of grief and pain, the other of joy and levity. The ancient Greeks philosophized that one could not exist without the other. You cannot know what grief is without excitement, laughter without rage. They exist together in everything. That is the fundamental truth about great storytelling. To make people cry, you gotta make 'em laugh. I take that understanding and apply it to every page, and the result is a well-rounded, complex, and true story.
