I have been writing in different capacities for over two decades. My writing has included articles in newspapers about travel experiences, descriptions of library resources in foreign cities for students studying there, articles on literary topics in academic journals, numerous conference papers, a book review and a doctoral dissertation. In addition to writing, my professional experiences include copyediting, proofreading, tutoring and teaching. I can write pieces on any of the topics mentioned above as long as doing so is not a substitute for student work. I can also write summaries, opinion pieces, reviews of books, movies, museums and other cultural phenomena. My services also include tutoring for writers of English, Spanish and Arabic at all levels. I am available for full-time work at any day and time until August 21. After that, I am available for part-time work on Thursdays and weekends. I have 25 years of experience teaching in both high school and college. My credentials include a BA and an MAT in Spanish, an MA in Arabic, and a Ph.D. in comparative literature. I also worked as the editor of a peer-reviewed academic journal, "The Philological Association of the Carolinas", for three years, and have served as a peer reviewer for two other academic journals and an academic handbook. I am willing to work in-person or online, according to the preferences of the client. While I am fully vaccinated for COVID and have received a booster shot, I am also willing to wear a mask in the event of in-person meetings if such a precaution is desirable.
