I was a cops/courts reporter for a couple years in Roswell, New Mexico and Ashland, Oregon in the 1990s. I wrote my own feminist zine from 1993-199.... As the Internet's reach expanded rapidly throughout the mid to late 1990s, I learned about the power of the new medium to reach many more people much faster than print. I was an avid blogger throughout my 20s. I have a strong personal voice in my writing (when it is appropriate) and I have professional experience researching and writing about many different topics. Areas of interest include: women's issues, animal stories and other human interest, travel stories, memoirs, 1990s culture, aging and health care.
